Your Local Lansing Roofers
Build. Protect. Prevent. ACME.
Our team of experienced roofers understands the vital importance of having a safe and reliable roof over your head.
Replace or Repair?
You might not need a brand new roof.
Michigan roofs are exposed to many elements and can suffer damage from wind, rain, snow, and hail.
To protect your home from water and other damage, it is important to have a good roofing system in place.
Repairs First
Many companies will try to sell you a brand-new roof when you need some repairs. Not us. We're committed to a repair-based approach so that you aren't spending extra money if you don't absolutely need to.
Replace when necessary
It’s best to replace your roof before it starts to leak. Learn what you need to look for to make the right decision for you.
Signs Your Roof Needs Attention.
If you expect or see any of these it is best and safest to call a roofing professional to come and take a look to see what options will be best.
Your roof is sparkling
If your protective granule layer is disappearing it will start to expose the fiberglass in the shingle which will sparkle in the sun.
Leaking
The most obvious and most frustrating is when water leaks into your home!
This doesn’t always mean it’s time to replace the roof. Depending upon the age of your roof, there may still be a good chance that a repair will do the trick.
Missing or loose shingles
Early in the life of a shingle, this can be a sign of poor installation.
After the 20-plus year mark, the sealants that hold the shingles tight and keep the wind from lifting them begin to weaken.

Answers to Your Most Common Questions
We use laminated asphalt shingles and metal roofing systems
It’s all dependent on size and complexity. Though, on average a roof can be completed in as little as 1-3days.
Contact our office by phone, email or text. We will contact you to discuss your project a little more in detail and schedule a time to take a look on site. We are able to create an estimate priced specifically to a customer's project.
No, You are able to remain in the home during most any project. A customer will be warned of the noise that is expected for the duration of the project
A customer can attempt to remove the ice, but it is better to have someone who handles it frequently help remove the ice. Ice can fall from the roof and be very dangerous.
Ice dams are when snow melts due to heat loss and freezes again at a cold spot on the roof, usually the eave. When a dam has formed and the temperatures rise, melting the rest of the snow water will build up behind the ice dam and can potentially back up under the shingles causing leaking into the home.
We will either hand measure and/or use New technology with pictures and satellite image to find the square footage of your home and then add a waste factor depending on the structure of your roof.
The black streaks that build up on your roof is due to a presence of blue/green algae. This algae can spread after it starts giving it an appearance of a failing roof. The black streaks are not a sign of a failed roof, however a long period of algae presence can damage shingles. Most of today’s shingles have algae resistant granules embedded in the shingle.
Ventilation can come in many different methods and is specifically designed for different roofing structures. Some ventilation methods include Ridge Vents, Can Vents, Gable Vents. Calculations should be used to determine the type and amount of ventilation used for your roof along with an inspection of the attic and eave ventilation, in order to protect and prolong the lifetime of the roof.
After any damage to your home you will need someone to temporarily fix the situation to ensure the interior of the home does not see any damage. Tarps, flashing, and exterior sealant are quick temporary fixes until the roofing materials can be replaced for a long term solution.
